Its been an exciting 6 months since our official launch in Summer, and it's hard to believe this brand new year is here waiting to be unwrapped already.
Here are some of our fave Scream Pretty looks from 2017, as styled by you!
If you're attending Top Drawer London 2018 from 14th - 16th January - come and meet us and sneak a peek of the new SS18 collection at Stand 447 at Olympia.
Over the Christmas break (in between bouts of epic over indulgence) we've been roping friends into modelling, setting pop up shops up on our kitchen tables and asking all of you what you want to see more of (resounding reply; 'More huggies' resounding answer - 'Oh yasss - coming up very soon! In loads of colours and combinations!').
Our aim this year is still to deliver you up to the minute luxe looks without designer price tags; and we promise there's lots more designs in the pipeline that we're scrambling to polish, photograph, and load up for your delectation and delight.
One of the coolest things in creating Scream Pretty this year has been seeing the posts you share of your looks, nights out and #curatedears . They inspire us, and keep us thinking - 'What next?' ...the urge for just one more piercing has never been so strong!
We're genuinely honoured to see our carefully designed jewellery make its debut in the world on a bunch of such sassy, stylish, magnificent women. God knows 2017 was a confusing one politically and culturally - but from the ashes of a divisive year come new ambitions, and exciting times ahead!
Beautiful Inside and Out It hardly needs saying that 2017 was a significant year. Women were galvanized to speak up and out, and motivated to help one another rise with a veritable tide of positivity.
We launched Scream Pretty around the same time as #Girlgaze Projects appeared online, populated by beautifully raw, captivatingly real images that promised a diverse, nuanced view of the world from the female perspective.
Founded by the British photographer Amanda de Cadenet; this project champions photography by women in fashion and reportage - which resulted in, for the first time, a whole issue of TeenVogue being created by girls, for girls.
Inspiring projects like these have influenced us as we strive to create our own images for Scream Pretty that celebrate strength, humour and individuality. Fashion; from how we shop and style ourselves and collaborate with models, to where we shop and the slogans on our t-shirts clearly has a role to play in effecting positive change.
Our models are mostly friends and cousins whom we know (and love dearly) - and our fashion shoots are a combination of shots taken by our long suffering photographer Martin or us on our phones in our garden, kitchens and office!
We've had so much support from the blogging community in our launch year - thank you girls - your championing of small businesses, creativity and positivity is so appreciated! Insta deets below for pure style inspo! To our loyal friends and family, and the phenomenal team at Scream Pretty HQ - phew, we really couldn't have got this far without you. You're the best! x
We hope you're inspired by our Look Book 'made by you'; do keep on sharing your #screamprettyonme stylings and Happy New Year, lets make it a great one you absolute beauties xx Jessica and Lucy xx
