Sammi Jefcoate: SCREAM Pretty Guest EDIT

Sammi's Guest Edit

The Scream Pretty jewellery she's wearing, and what she's wearing it with

Meet Sammi - an Italian-British instagram queen, blogger and co-founder of cult brand Hallow Collective.  You may already be familiar with her impressive Bardot pout, fabulous tattoos and rockstar outfit posts - and if not, look her up for inspiration - there's always a post with a fresh take on fashion and jewellery trends to take inspiration from.

'There is nothing like working with small, independent brands that are doing things right. Having one myself, I am fully aware of how much time, energy and love is poured into having an independent. Scream Pretty has so much going on that I love: these ethically sourced & affordable pieces have a beautiful and refreshing energy. They look killer on, and feel so good to wear.

I'm particularly smitten with the Gold & Green Opal Huggie earrings (I love a good ear game)'.

So what are are the pieces in her winter wardrobe ?

First Up -the Gold & Green Opal Huggie Earrings - Although equally smitten with the pinky Opal Huggies Sammi chose these to accentuate the green of her rose neck tattoo and match her mostly gold jewellery wardrobe. The single pretty Starburst hoop plays off Sammi's simple gold Rook piercing.

On rapidly making a name for herself on instagram with an impressive following that has quickly exploded to 139k followers Sammi admits  'I only really started taking my style posts seriously and doing a Style Blog in February this year- it's easier said than done; but I think you have to only put something out there you really love - and try not to give a FK what people think - But it's working and I'm so grateful people are being positive about what I do!'

All the Spirals and Pearls!

Sammi's Scream Pretty gold spiral ring (worn on her thumb) with the Modern Pearl Ring two budget friendly pieces under £20 that look fabulous with Black French Manicure and spider web ring from Golden Grove and her Mother's diamond engagement ring.

Nail Envy abounds....

Sammi's street savvy style is influenced by grunge and rock, elevated by clever pairing with classic pieces like 50's trenches, capes and overcoats. She lists her favourite shops as Gucci, Asos, Reformation, Net a Porter and Top Shop. Recent looks mixes heavy metal t shirts with a sprinkling of some luxey Balenciaga and Gucci.

Gold Hoopla!

The Gold Huggie Hoops with clear crystal stones are a really versatile piece as they can be worn in cartilage and some rook piercings. Customers tell us they split a pair of tiny huggie hoops with friends to wear singly in multi-pierced ears.

When she's not posting and sharing her style finds, Sammi is a mum to Casey and co- runs Hallow Collective with her friend Richard, finding time to pack orders when Casey's at nursery.

Definitely check out this independant for metal inspired tees and a new capsule collection called 'Covet' featuring a divine selection of high quality clothes designed to make perfect additions to your wardrobe. These are hand made in London. We particularly lust after their white silk shirt with button loops and bell sleeves and the denim flares...

The Curated Ear

The Curated Ear

The curated ear is the trend for the fashion concious; multiple teeny piercings with mismatched styles and finishes, a mix of huggie hoops and tiny studs, the more ear candy the better.

Scream Pretty have embraced this trend with a selection of our own mismatched studs, and a growing collection of huggie hoops and chained studs.

Set of Three single Earrings by Scream Pretty

Sophie Quy, buyer of fine jewellery at NET-A-PORTER says 'Pioneered by designers like Maria Tash, Anita Ko, and Yvonne Léon, there's no doubting that piercing is huge. This trend has led us to see a lot more single earrings, and earrings that can be worn alone or in multiples to create a beautiful delicate curated assortment in and around the ear.'

Maria Tash was the front runner of the tiny earring, multiple piercing trend, but it's been a runaway success with celebrities and fashion gurus, and now more and more of us are experimenting with extra piercings and diverse earring collections.

Clear Huggie Hoops by Scream Pretty

Scream Pretty have been thrilled by reviews for our affordable take on the trend. Here are some of the reviews from our notonthehighstreet.com store front, for our huggie hoops with clear stones.

Beautiful earrings, well made and great value

Mon 22 May 2017

Perfect, just what I've been looking for. Maria Tash style without the price tag! Would love it if you'd make a rose gold version of these.

Wed 01 Mar 2017

So pleased with these fab little earrings, the Maria Tash look but at a fraction of the cost. The earrings are quite small but this means they are perfect as an everyday 2nd hole earring. They are so perfect I'm thinking of buying another pair.

 Helix Piercing Scream Pretty

To create your own curated ear - first forget everything you ever knew about jewellery 'rules'. Earrings shouldn't be a pair, mismatched colours are fine, one shoulder grazing chandelier earring balanced with one tiny earring - nailed it! Why not even try an ear climber (fixes up the ear rather than down) and a huggie hoop in your helix piercing (upper ear)

A “curated ear” is for the woman who wants to show off her individuality, and bravery (some of these piercings hurt!) . The new rules of jewellery, be brave be different and have fun.

Rainbow Revolution

Rainbow Revolution

One of the hottest jewellery trends this year and surprisingly wearable - Rainbows will cheer you, and everyone looking at you, right up. With gender politics more relevant than ever, this trend is also a way to literally show your colours and support inclusiveness and positivity.
That’s a pretty powerful incentive to work this trend into your jewellery wardrobe.

Open Circle Rainbow Jewellery Set by Scream Pretty

Playful, fun and fashionable; this season the rainbow look is nailed by Dress Like a Mum's Zoe de Pass (pictured above in the Scream Pretty Rainbow Bar Ring ) and Stylist Helen Canning Ford (AKA Cocomama) pictured in a fab Bax and Bay rainbow T.

Even Gucci  have updated their iconic trainer in rainbow tones.

Forget being brave, this is actually a really easy trend to incorporate – a little bit of multi coloured jewellery, literally works with EVERYTHING!

Rainbow Huggie Earrings by Scream Pretty
We like to team a bit of rainbow pave, like these huggies and open circle neckace with a jacket covered in patches or a multi coloured floral maxi – undeniably cheerful, and delivers a lots of style without having to worry about being too matchy matchy.

If like us, monochrome dominates your winter wardrobe - a bit of rainbow bling encourages us to throw some bright tops and trousers into the mix.

To quote one of our favourite trend authorities Maria Doulton of The Jewellery Editor

‘Diamonds may be the most valuable gem, but the rise of coloured stones seems to be unstoppable. Beyond the traditional trio of rubies, emeralds and sapphires, we are witnessing a rainbow revolution in which previously overlooked stones are now in the limelight

For fall 2017, the Ashish UK runway collection was layered in multicolor sequins like this incredible jumper below. They teamed this with multi-coloured wrestling masks on the catwalk at London Fashion Week too - but this may be a detail we'll skip!

May your season be colourful and bright!
